FULTON, Miss. – ICC had five members of its football program sign to continue their student-athlete careers during the first day of the early signing period Wednesday.

Cortez Davis (Flowery Brach, Ga.) signed with the University of Hawai'i, Kalmorris Robinson (Macon) will continue his career at Kentucky State University, Will James (Columbus) signed with Tennessee State University, Shed Ross (Grenada) inked with Mississippi Valley State University, and Tay Carothers (Aberdeen) joined the Murray State University football program.

Davis signed with Hawai'i after spending only one season in Fulton. Last season he had 59 tackles, five pass breakups, three and a half tackles for loss, one sack and one interception in nine games to earn a spot on the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) First Team All-State team. The defensive back is the first Indian to sign with the Warriors since Paul Manera in 1988.

Robinson spent two years at linebacker for the Indians and finished a strong sophomore season with 61 tackles, four and a half tackles for loss, two pass breakups and a sack in nine games. During his freshman season, Robinson had 12 tackles in seven games.

James, a left tackle, and Ross, a center, started all nine game their sophomore seasons. The duo helped the Indians pass for 2,255 yards and rush for 1,445 last season.

Carothers, red-shirt sophomore linebacker, finished his final season in Fulton with 57 tackles (43 solo; 14 assists) with 10 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks to go along with two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. As a freshman, he finished the season with 31 tackles with nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.
