Vick Etheridge of Corinth was a member of the 1965 and 1966 football teams earning All-State honors during both seasons. As a sophomore, he was named team captain, earned a spot on the North All-Star team, and was a member of the baseball team.

After ICC, he played football at Murray State University in 1967 and 1968. He was named permanent team captain in 1968, and his honors included All-Ohio Valley as a defensive end (67) and as a linebacker (68).

He graduated cum laude from Mississippi State University in 1971 and served as First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1971-1973. Since that time, he has been an independent businessman and a breeder of Champion American Cutting Horses.
