Linda Partlow was inducted into the NJCAA Women’s Tennis Hall of Fame after coaching 22 years at Itawamba Community College.
During those 22 seasons, her Lady Indians won 149 matches and lost 53 including nine Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College state titles and six Region 23 championships.
On six other occasions, Coach Partlow’s squad finished runner-up in the region and five times, second in the state championship.
She also won 134 games and two north division crowns in nine years of coaching softball at Itawamba Community College, participated in 10 NJCAA National Tennis tournaments and had four top 14 finishes including eighth in the nation in 1991 in the non-scholarship division. She was named the MACJC and Region 23 Coach of the Year five times, and her tennis players signed scholarships at Mississippi State University, Delta State University, Mississippi University for Women, the University of North Alabama and Blue Mountain College.
