Joe Ferguson played basketball at then Itawamba Junior College
from 1968-69 where he earned All-North, All-State and All-Star
honors.
He averaged 15.5 points per game and led the team in rebounding
with 12.7 rebounds per game.
Ferguson continued his basketball career at Mississippi Industrial
College where he earned First-Team All-Conference honors.
