SENATOBIA, Miss. – After winning the first set on Friday, the Indians couldn't maintain the momentum and lost the next three to Region 23 foe Northwest to close their match (25-19; 12-25; 23-25; 19-25).
Aubrey Swanson (Corinth) and Bree Lyons (Oxford) each had double-digit kill performances with Swanson having 11 and Lyons having 10. In addition, Anna Grace White (Lexington, Ala.) had seven and Ashelyn Isbell (Corinth) had six.
Four Indians had double-digit digs with Mia Griffin (Corinth) leading the team with 14 while Kensley Woolbright (Columbus) had 11, and Audrey Hamill (Pontotoc) and Marlee Robinson (Ellisville) each had 10. Hamill also led ICC with 27 aces.
The Indians fell to 7-13 overall and 1-1 in Region 23 play. ICC will be back in action against Pearl River on Tuesday starting at 5 p.m. in Poplarville.
