FULTON, Miss. - The Indians returned to the Davis Event Center for their first home match of September on Tuesday and had a successful outing when they took the first three sets over Bevill State (25-22; 25-17; 25-16).
Bree Lyons (Oxford) and Aubrey Swanson (Corinth) led the team in kills throughout the match with Lyons getting nine and Swanson getting seven. In addition to Lyons and Swanson's contributions, Abbi Upchurch (Starkville) picked up six kills and Anna Grace White (Lexington, Ala.) had five.
Lyons also had a team-best 14 digs in the match while Kensley Woolbright (Columbus) and Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) followed suit with 13 each. Jones also had 14 aces, which led the team, and Audrey Hamill picked up 13.
