COLUMBUS, Miss. – Despite Bree Lyons (Oxford) and Aubrey Swanson (Corinth) each having 12-kill performances on Saturday, September 16, it still wasn't enough for the Indians as they fell to Paine College in a match that lasted four sets (19-25; 22-25; 25-17; 22-25).
After losing the first two sets, the Indians rallied back and won the third but couldn't get past the fourth.
Lyons and Swanson's 24 combined kills contributed to the team's total of 47 throughout the match with Ashelyn Isbell (Corinth) also having eight and Anna Grace White (Lexington, Ala.) having six.
Audrey Hamill (Pontotoc) had three kills of her own and also led the team with 20 aces while Madasen McCaig (Tremont) had nine aces herself. Kensley Woolbright (Columbus) had a team-best of 22 digs while Lyons had seven.
