Indians complete season sweep of rival Northeast, 3-0

FULTON, Miss. - The Indians completed the sweep of rival Northeast with a 3-0 win on Wednesday.

The Indians set the tone early with Kensley Woolbright (Columbus) recording seven assists, and the team never looked back as they took the opening set, 25-12. In the second set, it was a tight battle between ICC and the Tigers, but Abbi Upchurch (Starkville) had the Indians' match point off a dig to take the second set, 25-23. ICC took advantage of the momentum and put the match away after winning the third set, 25-18.

Aubrey Swanson (Corinth) a stellar performance on Sophomore Night with 12 kills while Ashelyn Isbell (Corinth) added seven to the stat sheet. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) had a team-best 23 assists on the night with Audrey Hamill (Pontotoc) having 15. Woolbright led the team in digs with 15 and Mia Griffin (Corinth) added 11.

The Indians improved to 13-14 overall and 2-2 in region play.

ICC will be back in the Davis Event Center on Friday, October 13 for a doubleheader against Northwest at 2 p.m. and Pellissippi State at 6 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on LetsGoICCTV.com/blue.
