Indians fall to No. 17 Wallace State

Hanceville, Ala. – To wrap up the busy and competitive weekend at the Wallace State Spring Bash, the Indians took on the hosting No. 17 Wallace State Lions.

In their fourth game in less than 24 hours, the Indians dropped a 3-0 decision with Wallace State winning the sets, 25-15, 25-9 and 25-20.

Mary Leslie Cranford (Covington, Tenn.) led the Indians in kills with seven, followed by LaMaya Newsome (Southaven) with six.

Morgan Lee (Olive Branch) had a team-high 21 assists and Londyn Bakeris (Olive Branch) led the Indians with 11 digs.

The Indians return home for the final time this season Tuesday when they host in state foe Pearl River. In their last meeting the Indians and Wildcats had an intense battle in Poplarville with the Indians winning 3-1. The rematch is schedule to begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Davis Event Center.
