No. 22 Lady Indians fall to No. 11 Jones in region semifinals

Ellisville, Miss. - No. 22 Itawamba Community College women's tennis dropped a 5-0 decision to No .11 Jones College in the NJCAA Region 23 Championships Semifinals Saturday.

The Lady Indians fell 8-0 in all three doubles matches and Jones picked up wins in No. 4 and No. 6 singles to pick up the win.

Despite the semifinal loss, the Lady Indians will face No. 17 Meridian Community College with third place and a NJCAA National Tournament berth on the line Sunday at 2 p.m. In their regular season meeting the Lady Indians fell 5-4 in a hard fought battle with Meridian.
