The No. 23 Lady Indians battled with No 17 Gulf Coast in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament Quarterfinals Thursday, but dropped a 5-2 decision in the hard fought match.

Ellisville, Miss. – The No. 23 Lady Indians battled with No 17 Gulf Coast in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament Quarterfinals Thursday, but dropped a 5-2 decision in the hard fought match.

The Lady Indians led 2-1 after doubles as Martina Coghetto and Gaia del Sordo won No. 1 doubles 8-1 and Madelyn Angle and Sydney Ostrander took No. 2 doubles 8-5.

Gulf Coast picked up singles wins in No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 and took No. 5 on a retirement.

The four singles wins gave Gulf Coast the 5-2 victory, and the Lady Indians finish the season 8-11.
