TUPELO, Miss. – Mother Nature held off long enough for Day 1 of the MACJC and NJCAA Region 23 tournaments to get rolling in Tupelo.
Kaitlyn Meadows defeated Kayla Douglas of Holmes 6-2, 6-0 in No. 3 singles action. Julianna Alves and Maggie Creekmore picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles over Alexis Kahmann and Khin Lwin of Holmes.
The rest of the Lady Indians are scheduled to be in action on Thursday.
