Lady Indians finish seventh in state and region tournaments

PERKINSTON, MS - The ICC women's tennis team wrapped up the 2017 season with a seventh place finish in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournaments held at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
In singles action, No. 1 Jordan Roberts (Shannon); No. 3 Karlin Garrett (Tupelo); No. 4 Georgia Claire Campbell (Pontotoc); No. 5 Lizbeth Jiminez (Pontotoc); and No. 6 Charity Tedford (Pontotoc) all advanced to the quarterfinals.
In doubles play, the No. 2 duo of Garrett and Jimenez were eliminated by second seeded Katie Burrall and Jenna Lyons of Gulf Coast 6-1; 6-1 in the quarterfinal round.
