Lady Indians take down Lady Rangers 7-2

SENATOBIA, MS – In their first match in ten days, the Itawamba Community College women's tennis team team shook off the rust quickly as they defeated Northwest Mississippi Community College 7-2 Monday.
The Lady Indians (2-6) picked up two wins in doubles action Jordan Roberts (Shannon) and Bailey Gillentine (Mooreville) took No. 1 doubles 8-1 and the Lady Rangers forfeited No. 2's due to an incomplete roster.
In singles action, Roberts strated things off with a 6-4, 6-4 win in the No. 1 slot and Gillentine pick up a win in No.2 singles due to the incomplete lineup.
Karlin Garrett (Tupelo) won No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-1 and Georgia Claire Campbell (Pontotoc) battled her way to victory in No. 4 singles action, 6-6 (7-5), 6-4.
Emily Buster (Prattville, AL) finished the day for the Lady Indians with an exciting super set win in No. 6 singles action, winning 7-5, 4-6 (10-*.
The Lady Indians will return home on Friday, March 24 for a match with Wallace State Community College-Hanceville (AL).
