Co-Lin defeats Lady Indians, 7-2

FULTON, MS – The Itawamba Community College women's tennis team wrapped up a busy opening week Saturday by hosting Copiah-Lincoln Community College, and the Lady Indians hard fought effort came up just short as the Lady Wolves earned a 7-2 win.
The Lady Indians (0-3) battled hard in all three doubles matches but were unable to pick up any match wins.
Karlin Garrett (Tupelo) won No. 3 singles by taking the second set 6-1 and winning the super set 10-4.
It took another superset in No. 4 singles as Georgia Claire Campbell (Pontotoc) won with an 11-9 tiebreaking victory.
Despite the Lady Indians hard fought effort, the Lady Wolves picked up the 7-2 win.
The Lady Indians will host Holmes on Friday, February 3 as they look to pick up their first win.
