No. 21 Lady Indians win big over No. 18 Hinds

FULTON, MS – Perfect performances by Taylor Patterson (Munford, TN) and Aliesha Hudson (Yazoo City) lead the No. 21 Itawamba Community College Lady Indians to a 9-0 win over No. 18 Hinds Community College on Friday.
Patterson and Hudson both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 and the duo teamed up for a 9-8 victory on the doubles side.
Anna Claire Griffin (Iuka) and Ivy Robbins (Pontotoc) were also perfect winning 8-0 in doubles competition. Robbins added a 6-1, 6-1 singles win over the 29th ranked Brittany DeCamp, and Griffin outlasted her opponent and emerged victorious, 7-6, 6-2.
Mooreville natives, Andria Barnes and Madison Scott picked up an 8-0 doubles victory and Barnes went on to win 6-3, 6-3 in singles. Kacey Byrd joined her fellow Mooreville natives with a 6-2, 6-3 win in singles action.
The shutout win is the Lady Indians (4-0) second straight against a nationally ranked opponent.
The Lady Indians will host Copiah-Lincoln Community College Saturday for another MACJC matchup.
