10 ICC student-athletes earn NJCAA academic honors

FULTON, MS - 10 Itawamba Community College student-athletes earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) academic honors for their performances in the classroom throughout the 2013-14 school year.
Sophomore tennis player Amber Frederick (Shannon) earned the NJCAA's highest honor when she earned the Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence by finishing her final season in Fulton with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
ICC women's basketball player Lelslie Robinson (3.94) of Belmont, women's soccer player Amanda Segovia (3.8) of Amory along with softball players Cat Carver (3.85) of Hernando and Guntown's Rachel Elder (3.8) earned the NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement Award.
Ackerman's Taylor Vaughn (3.77) of the ICC golf team joined All-American and Delta State softball signee Kory Watterson (3.76) of Nesbit, baseball standout Ben Aldrigde (3.69) of Tupelo along with women's soccer players Randi Stevens (3.72) of New Albany and Columbus' Katie Proctor (3.72) in earning NJCAA Exemplary Academic Achievement Award.
