FULTON, MS – The 2013 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) Champion Itawamba Community College women's tennis program added a new face to the 2013-14 roster in the signee of Anna Claire Griffin of Tishomingo County High School on Monday.
"Anna Claire brings a lot of potential of becoming an outstanding player on this level," said Hall of Fame tennis coach Paul Johnson. "I had a lot of opportunities to see her play throughout her high school career and it just seemed like she got better each time I saw her play. Hopefully she can bring her winning attitude and work ethic to make good things happen here at ICC over the next two years."
The Lady Indians won their third-straight MACJC title in April before finishing 15th in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament in Tucson, Arizona and ending the season ranked 17th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
