Lady Indians earn spot in final ITA rankings

FULTON, MS – The postseason awards keep rolling in for the Itawamba Community College tennis teams as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their final National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rankings for the 2012-13 tennis seasons.
The Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) State Champion Lady Indians earned a spot amongst the nation's Top 20 coming in at No. 17, which is the highest ranking of any MACJC school in the poll.
Amy Evans (Ravenshoe, Queensland) earned the No. 23 ranking amongst the nation's single competitors and the No. 13 ranking in doubles with her teammate Katherine Downing (Pontotoc).
The ITA is the governing body of collegiate tennis and provides national rankings for DI, DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO tennis programs.
