Four Lady Indians recognized in All-MACCC Honorable Mention

FULTON - Four Lady Indians have been named to the All-MACCC Honorable Mention list; the conference announced Wednesday.

Asia Robinson (Horn Lake), Lauren Sharples (Liverpool, England), Julia Benneckenstein (Vaduz, Liechtenstein) and Melanie Huber (Rickenbach Sultz, Switzerland) were all recognized for their efforts this season.

Robinson recorded 122 saves (17 against Northwest in September) and allowed 33 goals during her freshman season with a .787 save percentage.

Sharples led the Lady Indians with 15 assists during her freshman season and recorded 10 goals and 30 shots. She had a hat trick in ICC's win over No 13 Co-Lin, scoring three goals and recording two assists. She was named MACCC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in the 5-1 victory.

Benneckenstein had a team-best four game-winning goals this season for the Lady Indians against Pellissippi State, Southern Union State, Southwest Tennessee and Pearl River.

Huber recorded five goals during her final season at ICC, one against Gulf Coast which set a new single season record for team goals.
