Ally Shinall signs with West Georgia

Fulton, Miss. – After two standout seasons at Itawamba Community College, sophomore midfielder Ally Shinall has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her career at the University of West Georgia.

The Oxford native scored five goals, had 12 assists, 22 points and two game winners over 37 games during her career as a Lady Indian. In her sophomore campaign, Shinall scored four goals and had six assists that was second best on the team.

Shinall was a big part of the historic 2019 season where the Lady Indians advanced to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Championship game for the first time in program history. They also won a share of the MACJC North Division and won a program-high 17 games that including a 16-game win streak.

She earned All-Conference postseason honors from the MACJC and selected to the conference All-Star North Division Team as a sophomore. In her freshman season, she earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 honors.

The University of West Georgia is an NCAA Division II institution located in Carrolton, Ga. and competes in the Gulf South Conference. Shinall will join Coach Stacey Balaam's squad, who went 7-10-1 last season.
