Driskell, Stevens earn conference Player of the Week honors

Fulton, Miss. - Itawamba Community College women's soccer's swept the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Player of the Week  honors for the second time this season with Ashley Stevens being named Player of the Week and Anna Wesleigh Driskell earning Keeper of the Week.

Stevens, a freshman forward from Amory, picked up one goal and one assist when the Lady Indians (17-3) shut out Mississippi Gulf Coast, 4-0 in the MACJC Quarterfinals last Wednesday. She has nine goals and six assists this season. 

Driskell, a freshman from Tupelo, grabbed five saves in the win over Gulf Coast to earn her fifth conference Keeper of the Week honor. She has 116 saves and nine shutouts this season.

Both will now be eligible for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Player of the Week honors which will be announced later this week

The Lady Indians will compete for the MACJC Championship today at 3:30 p.m. against No. 16 Holmes in Raymond. The match will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red
