Meadows, Pund earn national scholastic honors

Meadows, Pund earn national scholastic honors

FULTON, Miss. – Sophomores Addison Meadows and Lexi Pund have been named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Women's Scholar All-America Second Team.

Meadows (Oxford) earned a 4.0 grade point average as a pharmacy major. On the pitch, the midfielder played in 33 games during her two years in Fulton. She finished with four goals and six assists for a total of 14 points with a .667 career shot on goal percentage and earned a spot on the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) North Division All-Star team.

Pund (Tupelo) earned a 4.0 GPA accounting major. She played one season as a forward after transferring from the University of West Alabama. On the pitch, Pund finished the season with one goal and eight assists for a total of 10 points with a .667 shot on goal percentage to be named to the MACJC All-State team.

The Lady Indians finished 9-5-1 overall while advancing to the playoffs after earning second place in the North with a 5-3-0 division record.

To be eligible for All-America scholastic honors, sophomore student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale throughout their careers. They must start more than 50 percent of all games and be an elite player as supported by playing honors or contributions to the success of their team.
