Lady Indians defeat Meridian 4-0

MERIDIAN, Miss. – The Lady Indians (6-2-1, 2-1 MACJC North) took an early lead and poured it on in the second half to pick up a 4-0 road win over Meridian Thursday.

How It Happened

Grace Joyce (Oxford) scored in the eighth minute off an assist from Addison Meadows (Oxford).

After leading 1-0 at halftime, the Lady Indians turned up the pressure, scoring three second half goals.

Sarah Whitt (Pontotoc) scored the first goal the second half off an assist from Grace Fowlie (Edinburgh, Scotland).

Halle Moore (Oxford) extended the lead to 3-0 and Brittany Mathis (Pontotoc) picked up the assist.

To wrap up the scoring, Joyce netted her second goal of the match off an assist from Lexi Pund (Tupelo).
