FULTON, MS – One day after being named Mississippi Assocaition of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Women's Keeper of the Week, Itawamba Community College's Merrie Kate Grayson earned the same honor on the national level when the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced the weekly honor Wednesday morning.

Grayson, a freshmen from Tupelo, helped the Lady Indians (4-2, 2-0 MACJC North) pick up two wins with 15 saves while allowing only two goals on 17 shots.

In the Lady Indians' 2-1 North Division win at East Central, she allowed one goal but made 12 saves while playing the entire 90 minutes.

Against Motlow State (TN), Grayson added three saves and allowed one goal in the Lady Indians 3-1 comeback win.

In the Lady Indians six games, Grayson has 27 saves while allowing only eight goal and has two shutouts.

Grayson and the Lady Indians will jump back into North Division play Friday, Sept. 15 when they travel to Ridgeland to take on Holmes Community College.
