Lady Indians knock off Hinds, 4-0

Tupelo, Miss. - The ICC women's soccer team opened MACJC North Division play with an impressive 4-0 win over rival Hinds on Saturday.

The Lady Indians (2-2-0, 1-0-0 MACJC North) picked up a pair of goals from Gracie Bertelsen (Natchez) to go along with goals from Malarie Scott (Saltillo) and Farris Bradley (Pontotoc). Allie Barnett (Iuka) had a pair of assists while Deanna Christie (Liverpool, England) and Francisca Galleguillos-Pollarolo (Santiago Nunoa, Chile) each added an assist.

Merrie Kate Grayson (Tupelo) collected a pair of saves with Haley McGill (Saltillo) adding another save to combine for the clean sheet.

The win was the second-straight shutout for the Lady Indians.

The matches were moved to the turf surface of Renasant Field at Golden Wave Stadium on the campus of Tupelo High School after rains from Tropical Depression Harvey drenched the area earlier in the week.
