POPLARVILLE, Miss. - The Lady Indians fell to 0-2 on the season after dropping a very physical 4-1 decision at Pearl River on Saturday.
Trailing 2-0, Hannah Covington (Saltillo) headed an assist from Farris Bradley (Pontotoc) to cut the Lady Wildcats lead in half heading into the break.
Pearl River (1-0) took a 3-1 advantage after Sarah Havens went top shelf with a rocket from distance before finding the back of the net on a free kick midway through the second half.
The Lady Indians will return to the pitch on Monday as they host Meridian at 2:00. The match will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/RED - weather pending.
