Lady Indians' late rally comes up short at Southwest

SUMMIT, Miss. - The Lady Indians (0-1) dropped a 3-2 decision to Southwest Mississippi (2-0) on Friday.

Down 3-0, Malarie Scott (Saltillo) found the back of the net in the 73rd minute for the first goal of the season. Allie Barnett (Iuka) pulled the Lady Indians within a goal with less than nine minutes left in regulation. The Lady Indians' failed to find the equalizer in the closing minutes of the match, falling 3-2 in the season opener.

ICC will be back in action Saturday at noon as they face Pearl River in Poplarville - weather pending.
