MERIDIAN, MS – The Itawamba Community College's women's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Meridian Community College in a non-division match Tuesday.

The Lady Indians (2-4-2, 1-2-1 MACJC North) fell behind early as the Lady Eagles netted three goals in the first 27 minutes of play, but Malarie Scott (Saltillo) put the Lady Indians on the board at the 38th minute with an unassisted goal.

In the second half, the Lady Indians put numerous shots on net and finished the match with 16 shots on goal, but they were unable to find the back of the net.

The Lady Eagles managed to put home two more goals in the second half on their way to the 5-1 win.
