FULTON, MS – With one minute left in the double-overtime, Morgan Dennis (Saltillo) beat the keeper to give the Itawamba Community College women's soccer program an exciting 2-1 win over Southwest Mississippi Community College Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, the Lady Indians (3-4-2, 1-2-1 MACJC North) fell behind 1-0 at the 52nd minute on a Nohemy Giraldo goal. However, the Lady Bears lead was short lived as Hope Burton (Caledonia) netted the equalizer less than a minute later on a ball from Farris Bradley (Pontotoc).

The Lady Indians goal keeping duo faced ten tough shots on goal during the contest but were able to give their offense the chance to win it. In the first half keeper Alexis Dunaway (Saltillo) made a key save to keep the game scoreless and Ana Branch (Oxford) stepped up late in the second half and both overtimes with big saves to keep the Lady Indians alive.

A quick attack on the net in the closing minute, led to Dennis' goal on an assist by Burton to give the Lady Indians the 2-1 victory.

Next for the Indians is another non-division match on Wednesday as they host the nationally ranked Jones County Junior College squad at 2:00 pm
