FULTON, MS – After picking up a tie and dropping a game in the opening weekend, the Itawamba Community College women's soccer program picked up their first win of the season in a big 4-1 win over Co-Lin Community College Tuesday.

The Lady Indians (1-1-1) attacked the net early and often and drew first blood with a goal in the 12th minute by freshman midfielder Morgan Dennis (Saltillo) and extended their lead on a Farris Bradley (Pontotoc) goal 12 minutes later in the 24th minute.

ICC had several scoring chances in the final 10 minutes of the first half, but it was the visiting Lady Wolves (0-4) who found the back of the net before the horn as Montero Keys scored in the 44th minute.

In the 70th minute, Emily Buster (Prattville, AL) scored on a penalty kick to extend the Lady Indians lead to 2-1. Even with a comfortable lead, the Lady Indians kept up the intensity and picked up an insurance goal off the foot of Malarie Scott with 3:21 left in the match.

The Lady Indians hit the road again Friday as they travel to Decatur to open MACJC North Division play against East Central Community College at 2:00 p.m.
