PERKINSTON, MS – Freshmen Brooke Younger (Columbus) and Morgan Dennis (Saltillo) scored their first collegiate goals to help the Itawamba Community College women's soccer team rally twice for a 2-2 double overtime tie with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Lady Bulldogs on Friday.

Gulf Coast (0-0-1) grabbed a 1-0 advantage when Erin Longsden (Manchester, England) scored off an assist from Jess Shepard (Manchester, England) in the 31st minute. The Lady Indians (0-0-1) rallied to find the equalizer when Younger found the back of the net after a scramble in the box with 13 seconds left in the first half.

The Lady Bulldogs wasted little time to regain the advantage in the second half. Longsden added her second goal of the match in the 48th minute to take a 2-1 lead. ICC would rally for a second time in the match behind a free kick from Dennis to tie the match in the 60th minute.

Neither team was able to push across a goal in the final 30 minutes of regulation and after a pair of scoreless 10-minute overtime periods, the two ends ended their season openers with a 2-2 tie.

The Lady Indians return to action on Saturday, traveling to Pearl River Community College to take on the Lady Wildcats (0-0-0) at 11:00 a.m. in Poplarville. The match will be available at prccmedia.com/soccer.
