FULTON, MS – The ICC Lady Indians battled the undefeated Northwest Lady Rangers in North Division opener but fall 2-0.

The Lady Indians (1-4, 0-1) out-shot the Lady Ranger 14-12 in what was a hard fought division match, but were not able to put one home. At halftime, the game was scoreless, but the Lady Rangers (5-0, 1-0) broke the goose egg with a goal off a free kick at the 52nd minute. Later in the match, Northwest struck again, this time on a penalty kick with ten minutes left in the game.

Reagan Hern (Columbus) and Carley Burns (Olive Branch) led the Lady Indians with shots at three a piece and Alyssa Kelley (Saltillo) and Hannah Miller (Vicksburg) had two each.

The Lady Indians will hit the road Tuesday as they travel to Decatur to take on East Central.
