POPLARVILLE, MS – The Itawamba Community College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision in a friendly against Pearl River Community College on Tuesday.

The Lady Bobcats took a 2-0 lead in the first half of play before adding a third goal in the final 20 minutes of play. Despite the loss, Coach Cody Carson was optimistic about the Lady Indians' performance.

"We knew this would be a tough game after a five-hour bus ride to play one of the top contenders in the state," said Carson. "We never stopped giving one hundred percent and looked good at times, despite only having three subs available."

The Lady Indians will officially open their season Friday against the Lady Bulldogs of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. and the live stream broadcast can be seen on LetsGoICC.com.
