JACKSON, Miss. – The NJCAA Region 23 All-Tournament Team was announced after the conclusion of the men's and women's tournaments. The teams were selected by head coaches of teams represented in the tournaments.
Freshman Jestiny Dixon was one of six players selected to the Women's All-Tournament Team. The Foley, Ala. native averaged 8.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal throughout the tournament. Dixon tied a season-high in scoring with 18 points in the Lady Indians' overtime loss to eventual tournament champion Gulf Coast.
Other players selected to the Women's All-Tournament Team include: Ja'Sharreah Hunt, Tytiana Buckley, and Je'Mya Evans of Mississippi Gulf Coast; Taylor Johnson-Matthews of Pearl River; and Kennedee Shelton of Southwest Mississippi. Hunt was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
