FULTON, Miss. - The ICC women's basketball team earned the No. 5 seed in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament and will host No. 12 seed Jones College at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Lady Indians (21-5) finished tied for fourth in the MACCC but lost the head-to-head tiebreaker with Coahoma to move into the fifth spot of the tournament. The Lady Bobcats (5-20) have won seven-straight regional championships and earned the final spot in the tournament based on their Massey rating. ICC picked up a 69-59 win at Jones to open conference play in January.
The winner will travel to Clarksdale to face No. 3 seed Coahoma at 6 p.m. on Monday with a shot at the regional semifinals at Mississippi College on the line. [Click here for the complete tournament bracket]
