Lady Indians use second half comeback to #BeatNE, 79-70

BOONEVILLE – The Itawamba Community College women's basketball program stayed undefeated at 16-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play after a 79-70 road victory over rival Northeast in Booneville Monday night.

After trailing by four going into the fourth quarter, the Lady Indians went on a 27-14 run to close the game and leave Booneville with the win.

D'Naylah Williams (Kosciusko) led the Lady Indians offensively with 22 points while also recording 11 rebounds, the first double-double of her ICC career.

Addison Howell (Olive Branch) and Jamyia Bowen (Shannon) each added 14 points and Arianna Durrell (Clinton), 11.

The Lady Indians will be back in action on Thursday, February 1 when they host No. 7 Pearl River at 5:30 p.m. in the Davis Event Center.
