Lady Indians knock off Freed-Hardeman JV

FULTON - Itawamba Community College's women's basketball team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 72-44 victory over Freed-Hardeman University's junior varsity team Tuesday night at the Davis Event Center.

Coming out of halftime with a 31-25 lead, the Lady Indians started the second half with an 11-0 run enroute to the win.

Jamyia Bowen (Shannon) led the Lady Indians with 16 points while Makayla Rieves (Columbus) and Allie Beckley (Pontotoc) added 12 and 11 respectively. Beckley also had two three-pointers, and Katie Beth Hall (New Albany) had one.

ICC shot 45% from the free throw line with Bowen going two-for-four; Beckley, one-for-one and D'Nayla Williams (Kosciusko), two-for-six.

The Lady Indians will play again Monday, November 20, on the road at Columbia State (Tenn.) at 5:30 p.m.
