Goodman, Miss. – Itawamba Community College women's basketball season ended at the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament with a 61-55 loss to Holmes Community College Monday.
The Lady Indians (12-12) and Lady Bulldogs battled and were tied in the final minutes of the contest. However, a questionable technical foul call allowed Holmes to break the tie with under a minute to play.
With 34 seconds left to play, the Lady Indians had possession trailing 57-55 but were unable to force overtime, falling 61-55.
Kimaya Dixon () led the Lady Indians with a career-high 18 points.
