Lady Indians drop fourth straight at Coahoma

CLARKSDALE, Miss. – The Lady Indians dropped a 67-52 conference setback at Coahoma Tuesday night.

The Lady Indians (8-5, 0-4 MACCC) rallied to make it a 16-16 game at the end of the first quarter, but went cold from the floor to only score eight points in the second quarter. Coahoma took advantage of the cold-shooting quarter to take a 27-24 lead at halftime.

The Lady Tigers (7-3, 3-0 MACCC) outscored the Lady Indians 20-14 in the third and fourth quarters to pick up the 67-52 win.

Kimaya Dixon (Oxford) and Che'mya Carouthers (Tupelo) led the Lady Indians with 15 points each.

The Lady Indians will look to snap a four-game losing streak when they return to the DEC Thursday to take on East Central (4-8, 1-2 MACCC) at 5:30 p.m. The game will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
