Lady Indians earn win over scrappy Calhoun, 65-57

FULTON, Miss. – The Lady Indians overcame a cold night shooting the basketball to earn a 65-57 win over a scrappy squad from Calhoun on Thursday.

The Lady Indians (4-0) saw a 12-point lead shrink to 58-57 when Calhoun hit a three with 1:22 left in the game. ICC put the game on ice when Allie Beckley was fouled on a successful lay-up attempt and hit the free throw to make it a 63-57 game with 30.8 left.

Beckley finished the night with nine points.

ICC took care of business from the free throw line connecting on 18 of 23 attempts to make up for shooting 34.9% from the floor on the night.

Jasirae Vick led the Lady Indians with 10 points while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out three assists.

The Lady Indians will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Motlow State.
