Fulton, Miss. – The Lady Indians fell 63-40 to East Mississippi in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament quarterfinals Monday.
It was the third meeting between the two North Division teams with the Lady Indians claiming victories in the first two meetings. East Mississippi took the third meeting as they jumped out to a 20-9 lead in the first quarter and outscored the Lady Indians in even frame.
Offensively, the Lady Lions shot 46 percent while the Lady Indians shot almost 26 percent proving to be a difference in the contest and giving the Lady Lions the 63-40 win.
Nadia Gillespie (Olive Branch) led the Lady Indians with 11 points.
The Lady Indians finish the season 13-3 and earned Co-MACCC and CO-MACCC North Division Champions.
