Scooba, Miss. – The Lady Indians overcame a big deficit to pick up an exciting 51-50 road win over East Mississippi Saturday.
The Lady Indians trailed by as much as 20 in the game and were down 36-21 at halftime.
In the second half, the Lady Indians held East Mississippi to 14 points while Demetria Shephard (Pontotoc) scored 10 points over the final quarters for ICC.
With just under 10 seconds left the play, East Mississippi had possession after a timeout and were able to get off a last second three point attempt that was off target and gave the Lady Indians the 51-50 victory.
Shephard led the Lady Indians with 12 points .
The Lady Indians will wrap up the regular season next week with a road game at Northwest Monday and a home game against Mississippi Delta Saturday.
