FULTON – Sophomore guard Whitney Watkins was selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Women's All-Region 23 Tournament Team.
The Decatur, Alabama native scored a team-high 18 points while adding two rebounds and two assists in the Lady Indians' 76-71 loss to Gulf Coast in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament at Mississippi College earlier this month.
Watkins averaged 11.2 points and 2.6 rebounds to help ICC go 18-7 this past season.
Joining Watkins on the Women's All-Region 23 Tournament team is: Keyara Jones (Jones), Destiny Hamer (Jones), Jatyjia Jones (Jones), Lindsay Hall (Northwest), Mallory Russell (Northwest), Alona Washington (LSU-Eunice), Daphane White (Gulf Coast), D'mya Wilson (Southwest), Tyeniesha Metcalf (East Mississippi) and Shaquandra Carter (Co-Lin).
