Lady Indians drop battle with East Mississippi

FULTON – The Lady Indians dropped a hard-fought decision to East Mississippi, 45-40, on Sophomore Night.

Trailing 16-8, the Lady Indians rallied to tie the game before East Mississippi went on a small run to take a 23-19 lead at the break. The two teams traded baskets throughout the second half before the Lady Lions were able to take care of business from the free throw line to pick up the five-point victory.

Kealy Wilson led the Lady Indians with 11 points on the night. Ja'Mia Hollings had 14 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Lady Lions.

With the win, East Mississippi secures the No. 1 seed in the North and will host the conference tournament next week.
