ICC basketball teams will face Pearl River in Conference Tournament

Fulton, Miss. – After wrapping up the regular season Thursday night, both Itawamba Community College's basketball programs will take on Pearl River Community College in the first round of the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Tournament next week in Scooba.

Coach Grant Pate's men's basketball squad, which enters postseason as the No. 4 seed from the North Division, finished the regular season with a 9-13 overall record and 5-7 in division play. The Indians will face the No. 1 South Division seed and No. 2 team in the nation Wildcats, who enter postseason after going 22-0 and 14-0 in division.

Tip-off for the men is scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, and the game will be played on the Scooba Campus of East Mississippi Community College.

The Lady Indians (17-5, 9-3 MACJC North) will also face Pearl River in their opening game of the MACJC Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m. Coach Robin Porter's team enters postseason as the No. 2 seed from the North. The South Division's No. 3 seed, the Lady Wildcats (15-8, 8-6 MACJC South) won their final four regular season contests. 

Both games and all postseason ICC games are scheduled to be broadcast on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
