Lady Indians win big over ASU Mid-South

Fulton, Miss. – In their final non-division game of the regular season, the Lady Indians took care of business defeating Arkansas State University Mid-South 83-44 Monday night. 

The Lady Indians (10-2, 2-0 MACJC North) had 10 players contribute offensively and were able to get key playing time in the final "tune up" game before diving deep into division play.

Whitney Watkins (Decatur, Ala.) scored 17 points in the first half and finished with a team-high 19 points after seeing limited action in the second half. Watkins was 7-9 shooting and 4-5 from behind the three-point line.

Kealy Wilson (Olive Branch) scored 16 points for the second straight game and Zuri Dunlap (Hernando) came off the bench and scored in double digits for the second time this season with 11 points.

The Lady Indians started the game outscored the Lady Greyhounds 28-13 in the opening quarter and held a 45-22 lead at the break and cruised to victory in the second half outscoring their opponent 38-22.

Thursday, the Lady Indians will hit the road for a North Division showdown with Mississippi Delta at 6 p.m.
