Lady Indians win big over Motlow State

Fulton, Miss. – An early lead turned into a one sided affair as the Lady Indians defeated Motlow State 92-54 Monday night in the Davis Event Center.

The Lady Indians (8-2) had another big performance from their bench as every player scored for the second straight game.

Mariah Holland (Oxford) led the offensive charge scoring 16 points and Tabreea Gandy (Starkville) scored in double figures for the sixth time this season with 14.

Lymyia Fifer (Louisville) picked up her second straight double-double scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Lady Indians jumped out to an early lead, never lost it and extended it to 41 points during the contest. At halftime, the Lady Indians led 47-21 and then outscored Motlow 45-33 to pick up the win.

Thursday, the Lady Indians will hit the road and get back into North Division play against the rival Northeast Lady Tigers. Tip-off from Booneville is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
