FULTON, Miss. – The Lady Indians fought off East Mississippi to keep possession of first place in the North Division with a 77-56 win on Thursday.
ICC rallied to outscore East Mississippi 22-15 in the second quarter to take a 39-33 lead at the break. The Lady Indians were able to push their lead out to 54-44 by the end of the third quarter before putting the game away in the fourth when they outscored the Lady Lions 23-12 to pick up the win.
Shaniya Buford (Abbeville) came off the bench to score a game-high 18 points while Sarah Berryman (Iuka) added a career-high 10 points in the win.
