Lady Indians struggle, but win at Coahoma

CLARKSDALE, Miss. – The Lady Indians struggled, but managed to sneak out of Clarksdale with a 59-55 win over Coahoma on Tuesday.

After only scoring four points in the second quarter, the Lady Indians saw Coahoma take a 22-20 lead into the locker room at the break.

The Lady Indians bounced back to outscore the Lady Tigers 23-10 in the third quarter to take a 43-30 lead into the final frame. Coahoma didn't go quietly into the night as they picked up some late baskets after the game was no longer in doubt to make it a 59-55 final.

Kealy Wilson (Olive Branch) led the Lady Indians with 12 points. Tabreea Gandy (Starkville) added 11 while Shaniyah Buford (Abbeville) returned for an injury to score 10 points off the bench in the win.
